When people are told their dog has behavioral issues I tell them no you have a communictation issue. You can’t expect a dog to behave a certain way until they understand what you want from them. With over two decades of training dogs of all levels and breads I whole heartily believe that the individual needs of the dog and human are better met in a one on one learning environment. Your relationship with your dog is a special one and it’s important for you to learn to train your own dog. Training is bonding for you and your dog. Learning to communicate with your dog gives you the ability to teach your dog more than just the basics. Teaching sit, stay, come and walking calmly on a leash should be a given in a training program. I teach you all of those and go beyond just basic training in all of my sessions. I teach you how to give your dog a full life and to actually be able to fulfill their mental and physical needs. I only offer one on one private training because training in your home allows us to teach in an environment where we can control distractions. This allows you and your dog to learn and retain more. Learning must happen on both ends of the leash. I don’t charge by the hour. The first session you will have lots of questions so there is no reason to rush or watch the clock. Most people will find they only need to be shown what to do with their dogs and they are off and running.
